Sonora, Chihuahua and Durango are freezing, temperatures of -10 degrees are expected

Three neighboring states of Sinaloa will freeze in the next few hours, as two cold fronts are approaching, which will make the states of Sonora, Chihuahua and Durango shiver, therefore the extreme cold is also expected to reach Sinaloa.

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) shared that for this Thursday, November 30, two cold fronts will freeze the country, they are 13 and 14, which will extend over the states of Nuevo León, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Baja California and Sonora.

Which will cause a drop in temperatures and intense gusts of wind, as well as frost and possible snowfall.

For the Valley of Mexico, a cool environment is expected at dawn, and cold with possible fog banks in high areas.

Chance of rain:

During the day, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected with a probability of showers, which could be accompanied by electrical shocks mainly in the southwest of the State of Mexico and isolated rains in the country’s capital.

The minimum temperature predicted in Mexico City will be 10 to 12 °C and the maximum 21 to 23 °C. For Toluca, the minimum temperature will be 5 to 7 °C and the maximum 18 to 20 °C.

The SMN authorities confirmed that this Thursday cold fronts number 13 and 14 will hit the northern and northwestern border of Mexico, which will leave temperatures below zero in at least 17 states of the country:

Minimum temperatures of -10 to -5 °C with frost: Sierras de Chihuahua and Durango.

Minimum temperatures of -5 to 0 °C with frost: Sierras of Baja California, Sonora, Coahuila, Zacatecas, State of Mexico, Puebla and Veracruz.

Minimum temperatures of 0 to 5 °C: Sierras of Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Hidalgo and Tlaxcala.
