The Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the closure of the Lukeville, Arizona Port of Entry beginning midnight Monday, December 4, 2023, until further notice.  Travelers can review the full details of CBP’s announcement on their website here.  

The U.S. Embassy reminds U.S. citizens that the Department of State’s Mexico Travel Advisory  only permits U.S. government employees to travel to Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point) via Highway 8.
