A patient was thrown out onto the street at the IMSS Bienestar hospital in Ciudad Oregon, Sonora, and he died after lying on the sidewalk for hours.

The death of a 22-year-old man, which occurred in the middle of the street outside a hospital, has generated public outrage and serious questions about the medical care provided to vulnerable patients in the region.

The victim was identified as Carlos Elian Borbón Cabrera, originally from the community of Techobampo, in the municipality of Álamos, state of Sonora.

According to testimonies gathered at the scene, the young man was allegedly removed from the IMSS Bienestar hospital after it was detected that he had a contagious disease.

According to María Mendoza, a witness to the events, the young man was taken from the hospital area and left on the sidewalk, where he remained for several hours unable to walk or even stand up, since he was in critical condition, without receiving timely medical attention.

He also asserted that there is video evidence showing the young man dying outside the hospital, and after almost 24 hours without intervention from medical personnel or emergency services, he finally perished in the middle of the street.

The situation became even more tragic due to the conditions he endured: exposed to high temperatures during the day and cold at night, without access to food or water, while his health progressively deteriorated.

He died during the night, and his body has not yet been transported to his home community, causing further concern among family and friends.
