One month before the end of the decree for the regularization of “chocolate” cars, the Organization for the Defense of Family Assets in Sonora (Odepafa) invites owners of these units to go to the Public Vehicle Registry (Repuve) modules to legalize their units.
Gamaliel Cañedo Maciel, head of the Organization for the Defense of Family Assets in Sonora (Odepafa), said that during the past summer vacations, more than 100 people registered their units to be able to safely drive on the roads of Sonora.
“All Odepafa members are reminded that there is one month left in the decree for them to legalize their cars, all people who have not done so are invited to go to the Repuve modules to process the regularization,” he commented.
Cañedo Maciel reiterated that owners of vehicles of foreign origin are also invited to process their third party damage insurance.
“People who have problems with some document, we have been helping everyone here. On August 26, we received a list of authorized persons and we are waiting for them to send us more because we are waiting for a list of more than 200 vehicles. We also call on Repuve to continue supporting us in this and to be able to solve the problems of people who have not been able to legalize,” he said.
The head of Odepafa in the entity, celebrated that during the past summer vacations there were no problems with the owners of foreign vehicles when driving on the road.
“During these vacations we did not have any problems with any member, all the members who went out on the road had their insurance, their license and their membership and there were more than 100 insurances from the people who signed up and bought their insurance, so the majority of people are already driving with their third party damage insurance,” he said.
