The General Directorate of Highway Conservation of the Chihuahua SICT Center reported that the road has been reopened at kilometer 26+650, on the Palomas Viejo branch, while a full structural assessment is conducted.

Early this morning, the Chihuahua SICT Center reported that heavy rains caused a bridge to collapse, leading to its closure.

Authorities urged drivers to proceed with extreme caution and follow the instructions of personnel on site.

National Guard, State Civil Protection, and Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation personnel are working in the area, securing the site and monitoring road conditions.

Due to the forecast of continued rain in Chihuahua, drivers were warned of the possibility of landslides and the presence of rocks, soil, or other debris on the road surface.

Drivers are advised to reduce their speed, stay informed, and follow the instructions of authorities while traveling.

In case of emergency, the public can call 9-1-1.
