Taco Fest 2026 in Hermosillo was a resounding success, featuring 50 vendors who put their all on the grill and delighted thousands of attendees.
The event took place at 5:00 p.m. today on Hidalgo Boulevard, where the culinary spectacle unfolded. Alejandro Cortés hand-made traditional flour tortillas on a griddle to prepare carne asada tacos.
Like him, the taqueros (taco vendors) showcasing their skills and delicious flavors with their spit-roasted tacos al pastor and carne asada. Students from the Vizcaya de Las Américas University’s culinary program gave away nearly 2,000 tacos al pastor, using over 100 kilos of meat.

Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez, Mayor of Hermosillo, along with Oscar Gastélum Donnadieu, Director of the Municipal Agency for Economic Development (AMDE), and Fernanda Cisneros Rodríguez, Director of Tourism Development for AMDE, toured the 50 participating food stalls.
“We went all out, having 50 establishments participating in this second edition of Taco Fest. Congratulations on Víactiva’s Seventh Anniversary,” said Astiazarán Gutiérrez.
The event was awarded in the category of Best Trompo Al Pastor Taco in La H, which was won by “El Pastorcito de Sonora,” and the category of Best Carne Asada Taco in La H went to “Taquería Los Reportados.”

Third place: Los Vaquetones.
Second place: La Chilanguita
First place: El Pastorcito de Sonora.
Best Carne Asada Taco in La H
Third place: Los Camaradas.
Second place: Tacos del Noe.
