The Easter holiday period is here, bringing with it the opportunity for the whole family to enjoy the museums throughout the state, which will remain open during these days off.
The Government of Sonora, through the Ministry of Education and Culture (SEC) and the Sonoran Institute of Culture (ISC), invites the public to visit its State Museum Network this week as an option for enjoying and connecting with cultural heritage.
During this period, various venues will open their doors to welcome local visitors and tourists, from Cananea to Álamos, most with free admission for everyone.
Hours
The Sonora Museum of the Revolution (MUSOR), in Ciudad Obregón; the Sonora Folklore Museum, in Álamos; the Silvestre Rodríguez House Museum, in Nacozari; and the Museum of the Workers’ Struggle, in Cananea, will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
During the same period, from Wednesday to Sunday, the Comcáac Museum in Bahía de Kino will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; the Sonora Museum of Art (MUSAS) in Hermosillo will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and the Yaqui Museum in Cócorit will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Museum of Popular and Indigenous Cultures of Sonora in Hermosillo will be open Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while the Álvaro Obregón Museum (MAO) in Huatabampo will be open Monday through Friday during the same hours.
