During a search warrant operation involving a coordinated deployment of security forces from all three levels of government, a clandestine marijuana greenhouse was seized in the municipality of Cucurpe.

The Sonora State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) reported that the property was secured following the operation.

The operation took place at a residence located in the Barrio Bachimba neighborhood, on Venustiano Carranza Street. Participants included personnel from the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM), the Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa), the National Guard (GN), the State Public Security Police (PESP), and the Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC).

During the inspection, the operational personnel located several areas adapted for planting and cultivating the plants, with controlled growing conditions, indicating a sophisticated cultivation system.

At the location, authorities seized 802 green, leafy plants resembling marijuana, along with 15 heating and lighting lamps and various pieces of equipment and pipes used to regulate the temperature and environment inside the building.

The search was deemed successful, and the evidence related to a suspected crime against public health, specifically the cultivation of marijuana, was seized.

The Sonora State Attorney General’s Office reaffirmed its institutional commitment to combating the production and distribution of illicit substances through coordinated and strategic actions with all three levels of government.
