Security and rescue teams responded to the derailment of a freight train that occurred today in northern Sonora, with no injuries reported.
The State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) reported that the accident occurred near the municipality of Carbó, located in the north of the state.
It reported that security and rescue personnel responded to the area surrounding the La Poza community in the aforementioned municipality, where the derailment occurred.
The state agency stated that the train involved nine cars carrying copper, with no injuries reported.
It stated that the accident was handled without further incident.
