A 72-year-old man identified as David “N” and originally from Phoenix was arrested in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora. He is likely responsible for the crimes of child pornography, possession of pornographic material, and violation of parole.

The suspect was hiding in Mexico after violating the conditions of his supervised release in the United States.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora (FGJES) reported the arrest on Monday, August 4, carried out through the Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC). This was in compliance with a federal arrest warrant issued by the District Court of Arizona in October 2024.

The arrest of David “N” required the exchange of information and intelligence between the aforementioned Mexican authorities and the United States Border Patrol.

Following his arrest, the man was handed over to the Mexican National Institute of Migration (INM), which expelled him to the United States through the Lukeville International Port of Entry, where he was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents and U.S. Marshals.
