For the second consecutive day, the thermometer reached 48.0 degrees Celsius (111.8 degrees Fahrenheit) in Sonora, due to the heat wave affecting the region, reported the National Water Commission (Conagua).

In its daily weather report, Conagua’s Northwest Basin Agency indicated that the highest temperatures occurred in Aconchi this Monday and Sunday, as well as in Tepache.

The municipalities with the highest temperatures so far this hot season are located in the state’s low and high mountains.

Likewise, other municipalities that reached high temperatures include Caborca ​​with 46.1 degrees Celsius (111.8 degrees Fahrenheit), and others with highs of 45.0 degrees Celsius (111.8 degrees Fahrenheit) or higher are Arizpe, Querobabi, Nacozari, Tepache, Nácori Chico, Sahuaripa, Guaymas, and Hermosillo.

Anticyclonic circulation in the mid- and upper levels of the atmosphere will result in mostly clear skies and no precipitation.

In addition, these conditions will generate very hot temperatures during the day and mild mornings and evenings.

For the next few hours, highs of up to 49.0 degrees Celsius are expected in the shade in municipalities in the northwest, center, and south.
