Under the leadership of Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño, Sonora has consolidated its position as a government that facilitates the establishment of new industries. In the last four years, the state has attracted $3.5 billion in foreign direct investment.
The state governor mentioned that, since the beginning of his administration, intensive work has been done on regulatory improvement processes to simplify the procedures required for opening new businesses, positioning Sonora as the ideal platform for industrial expansion.
This translates into more and better jobs for the population, with Sonora reaching a total of 823,000 jobs, with an unemployment rate of only 2.5 percent, the lowest in the state’s history.
He added that these results reflect the comprehensive transformation being promoted in the state, including the opening of more tourist recreational options, such as the new seawalls and the creation of the artificial reef system, unique in Latin America, which includes a dozen ships in San Carlos, three of which have already sunk.
